Company Biography

Nature’s Wizard was launched in 2006 with a passion to educate parents on natural health products. I wish to thank the following organizations who supported me throughout my start-up phase up until today through continued professional and financial support: SAJE Montreal Centre, Emploi-Québec and CLD Saint-Laurent. In 2007, with so much demand for more information, I decided to change the scope of the website to offer information on the health dangers of toxic chemicals in every day products. Thankfully, the company has grown successfully due to the loyalty of our readers.

I am very pleased to launch, in late 2009, the first ever product reviews on organic and natural products in a way that is new, unique and will help moms gain a much better view of what other moms think of certain products. So, with the guess work of which brand to buy eliminated (or at least alleviated), we can now offer more to moms.

Mission Statement

Nature’s Wizard’s will aid moms have access to insightful information both researched and shared from other moms on adopting a less toxic home environment in hopes to empower moms’ buying decisions with respect to natural and organic products.

Ravit Rosenblum is the Founder & Owner of Nature’s Wizard and this is her story on how she got to create Nature’s Wizard. About 15 years ago, Ravit suffered a severe spinal injury, which at first, I she thought was ‘no big deal’…until 5 years later. Her body shifted, she was misaligned and her ENTIRE life had changed. When she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, her research led her to a very exciting new “natural” world. Name any treatment, she probably did it. Then her journey into an organic and more natural lifestyle commenced. Ravit spent years adopting new ways of living, researching products and how it would affect my Fibromyalgia and her, of course, as well.
In 2003, Ravit married and had herfirst son, Gabriel in 2005 and her second son, Jesse in 2007. She adopted her ways of living to her new family life by eating organic food and using natural products only. She knew that raising them in a non toxic was extremely important.

For years, people used to think Ravit was “nuts” and claimed that she had an addiction to “natural this and natural that”. She remembers telling moms about BPA in baby bottles before it was banned by the Canadian government. Well, let’s just say that these moms realized that Ravit was “on the ball” once news got out.

This was her turning point, realizing that she MUST make other moms aware of all these things. So, she reinvented Nature’s Wizard into what it is today.
Here she is 3 years later growing strong and still loving what she does. It’s a huge passion of hers which keeps her on her toes every single day!

Ravit’s deepest desire is that all moms know what she knows…why not, right? This is critical information and it saddens her to hear moms say “I wish I knew”. So, she devote all her efforts at educating moms.

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

I hope that you enjoy Nature’s Wizard and that it helps you find the information you need. I would like to note one very important thing… I am, in no way, trying to change your lifestyle and you will see this clearly from the way I set up the website and my carefulness in my content. I will only offer my personal opinion in the “Editor’s review” and nowhere else. Some of you ask me why I do this. Well, it’s very simple. I acknowledge and respect that each one of us moms has different beliefs and lifestyles and that no two families will be alike. As you will notice, I do not sell any products either and my reasoning is similar- I do not want you to buy certain products because “Ravit said so on Nature’s Wizard”. What I would much rather you say is “I got some great advice on Nature’s Wizard and this is what helped me make my decision on which product to buy”.

I am also in no way trying to “convert” you gals into becoming ALL natural. This is your decision to make- if you want to change 1 product or all products in your home to non-toxic ones, that’s great. But if you are comfortable to change a few products to less toxic ones, that’s great too.

I have 3 important missions- and I think of all 3 of you daily:

  1. For those of you moms who are entering the natural world with confusion, my aim is to empower you with insightful information.
  2. For those of you moms who already buy natural and organic products and are looking for different brands and are sick and tired of buying products to then realize that you don’t like them (for whatever reason), my aim is to connect you with other moms so that you can all learn and share your experiences.
  3. For those of you moms who have already adopted a natural/organic lifestyle, I hope that you would share your knowledge with the rest of us. We all want to hear about your opinions (the good and the bad).

I will sign off with a chant that keeps circling in my head every time I think about my 3 missions. It’s the theme song to the TV show “The Facts of Life”… you take the good… you take the bad… and there you go… the facts of life. It is engrained in my head because it’s exactly what I’m trying to do… provide you with “Just the Facts”.
